A New Way to Win

The other day I began thinking about why I wanted to buy new things all the freaking time. Most of you who know me, which is everyone who read this blog probably, know that I have things that are top of the line. It's kind of an expensive habit. So why?

When it comes to sports, I can play them but I'm not really great at them. The same is true in almost every other aspect of my life. I feel like I have talent with the areas like music, sports, running and things like that but again I cannot really be the best at any of these. This is mainly because I'm not willing to commit to the amount of work it takes to really become the BEST. So how I use buying brand new things as a way to be the best at something. I can have the newest iPod or newest Mac or newest SLR, for a little while, but as soon as a newer one comes out I lose again. Hence the reason why I want to constantly buy things. This could be totally untrue, but it seems to make sense to me right now.

Also, let's talk about what I'm doing right now. I'm sitting at Don Jacobs, a Honda dealership getting my brakes replaced.

"It will take about three hours. Do you want to wait?"
"Sure."

So here I am. I woke up at 8...maybe 8:15...maybe 8:20 and am now waiting for three hours. Ok time to go. Peace

Photography Comments

Now maybe it's genuine when people say that your picture, "really has some great colors" or is a, "great composition," but seriously I think I would rather have people tell me what they don't like specifically than to give me some generic thing like that. Ok so maybe I'm just being stupid and over reacting a wee little bit. Honestly though I like taking pictures and I like feedback, but when people try to act smug and intelligent by telling me that my picture is a great composition it makes me want to throw up. Anyway, my bed is calling and soon I'll be back to Asbury. I can't wait.

It snowed today, barely. And it was 15 degrees tonight. When I pulled out of my driveway it seriously sounded like my windshield was going to crack and shatter right before my eyes. It didn't luckily.

The Droid rules even though they are about to come out with a Google phone called the Nexus One.

That is all.
